Best IPTV by Country 2026 — 21 Markets Tested & Ranked

Television rights are sold country by country, so the best IPTV service is too. We tested the same eight providers in 21 markets on local broadband. Start with your own.

IPTV Free Trial·August 2026·9 min read

There is no single best IPTV service in the world, and anyone who tells you otherwise has not tested one outside their own country. Television rights are carved up market by market: the provider that carries Sky Sports for a household in Manchester is not the one that carries Liga MX in Guadalajara, and an electronic programme guide built from US listings is worse than useless in Sydney.

So we tested the same eight providers separately in 21 countries, each on local broadband, each through the fixture or programme that matters most in that market — a Premier League Saturday in England, an NFL Sunday in the United States, a Friday SHL night in Sweden, a Süper Lig derby in Türkiye. This page is the hub. Pick your country below and go straight to the ranking that applies to you.

The short version

IPTV Free Trial 2026 finished first in most of the 21 markets, on the strength of broad international coverage, properly localised guide data and a free 24-hour trial that needs no card. Apollo Group IPTV wins on raw sports depth, FlickHaven on on-demand libraries, and Vivimate for multilingual and expat households. Your country page has the specifics.

  • IPTV Free Trial 2026 best overall — free 24-hour trial. The all-rounder that wins on the two things most people actually judge a service by: it never asks for a card before you have watched something, and the channel list holds up under pressure on a Saturday afternoon.
  • FlickHaven best for movies, series & box sets. Built for people who watch more on demand than live.
  • Apollo Group IPTV best for live sport & ppv events. The biggest raw channel list here and the one sports fans keep coming back to.
  • IG IPTV best for stability & anti-freeze. A smaller, tightly curated list where almost every stream actually works.
  • TiviMate best for tivimate player users. Tuned end-to-end for the TiviMate player on Android TV and Firestick.
  • TVNado IPTV best budget multi-connection plan. The value pick for a busy household.
  • Vivimate best for international & multilingual homes. Aimed squarely at expat and multilingual households.
  • Vivimate IPTV best entry-level starter plan. The cheapest way into IPTV on this list and a sensible first subscription.

How we tested, in every market

The method was identical everywhere so the results are comparable. In each country we ran every service for at least seven days across two local connections — one fast urban line, one slower rural or regional line — on a Fire TV Stick 4K plus at least two other devices. Testing always covered the market's peak-demand window, because that is when weak services fail.

For each provider in each country we recorded:

  • Buffering events per hour during live sport at peak time
  • Channel-zap latency — time to first frame
  • Working-channel percentage against the advertised line-up
  • EPG accuracy against published local listings, including timezone and daylight-saving handling
  • Availability of the market's must-have channels and rights holders
  • 4K availability and audio-track or subtitle handling where the market requires it
  • Support response time to a genuine question

What actually changes between countries

If you have read one country guide and wonder whether the others say anything different, they do. Five things vary enough to change the ranking:

  • Rights fragmentation. Some markets keep the top league on one broadcaster; others split it across two or three. Germany, Italy, Spain and Poland all divide their top division between rival rights holders, which is why an all-in-one line-up saves more money there than anywhere else.
  • Regional and language feeds. England needs BBC and ITV regional variants, Belgium needs two full language communities, Switzerland needs three, Spain needs the autonomic broadcasters and Canada needs French-language channels. Services built for one market often ship a single generic feed.
  • Timezones. Australia spans three with an uneven daylight-saving split; Brazil, Mexico, Canada and the US span several each; Türkiye stays on UTC+3 year round. A guide that cannot be set locally is a guide nobody uses.
  • Dubbing versus subtitles. Germany, Italy, Spain and France dub; the Nordics, the Netherlands and Portugal subtitle; Poland uses lektor. Audio-track handling matters far more in some markets than others.
  • Enforcement climate.Italy's Piracy Shield, Spain's LaLiga litigation, France's ARCOM regime and Denmark's Rights Alliance are notably more active than the norm. Each country guide sets out the local position.

Watching from abroad

A large share of the people reading these guides are not in the country whose channels they want. IPTV streams over the open internet rather than a national cable network, so a subscription generally works wherever you have a decent connection — which is why Turkish families in Germany, Brazilians in Portugal, Poles in the UK and Britons on the Spanish coast make up so much of the audience.

If that is you, two pages will help most: our Türkiye guide and Brazil guide both cover diaspora use in detail, and how to watch UK channels abroad explains the general approach. Vivimate is consistently the strongest choice for households watching in two languages or two countries at once.

Devices and setup, wherever you are

Setup is the same in every market: install a player app on a device you already own, enter the Xtream Codes login your provider issues, and let the guide populate. Around five minutes. Our device walkthroughs apply everywhere — Firestick, Android TV, Samsung, LG, Apple TV, Roku, iPhone and iPad, Windows, MAG boxes and Kodi.

The two universal tips: set your EPG timezone before you complain that the guide is wrong, and wire the main television by Ethernet if the router is more than a room away. Between them those two steps resolve most of what people report as provider problems — our buffering guide covers the rest.

Test it on your own connection in your country before you pay

No review replaces watching a live channel on your own TV and your own broadband. Start the free 24-hour trial — no credit card, no auto-billing — and check the channels you actually care about before committing. Plans then start at $14.99 a month with no contract.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the best IPTV service differ by country?

Because television rights are sold country by country. The service that carries Sky Sports for a UK viewer is not the one that carries Liga MX for a Mexican viewer, and a guide populated with US listings is useless in Australia. Channel line-ups, EPG data, timezone handling and server locations all change what performs well in a given market — which is why we test and rank separately in each of the 21 countries covered here.

Are the same eight providers ranked in every country?

Yes — we assess the same eight services in each market so the comparison is consistent, but the ranking commentary, channel checklists, pricing comparisons and legal notes are specific to each country. A provider that is strong in Germany may be mid-table in Brazil, and the country pages say so.

Which IPTV service is best overall across all countries?

IPTV Free Trial 2026 finished first in the majority of markets we tested, mostly because it combines broad international channel coverage with correctly localised EPG data and a free 24-hour trial that requires no card. Apollo Group IPTV wins on raw sports depth, and FlickHaven wins for on-demand libraries.

Can I use one IPTV subscription in more than one country?

Generally yes. These services stream over the open internet rather than a national cable network, so a subscription bought for one country usually works anywhere with a decent connection. That is why expats and diaspora households are such a large part of the audience — a Turkish family in Germany or a Brazilian family in Portugal can keep watching home channels.

Is IPTV legal everywhere?

IPTV as a technology is legal everywhere — it simply means television delivered over an internet connection, which is what every national broadcaster's streaming app does. What varies by country is enforcement against unlicensed operators, which is considerably more aggressive in Italy, Spain, France and Denmark than in most markets. Each country guide explains the local position, and our IPTV legality article covers the general principles.

What internet speed do I need, regardless of country?

Roughly 15 Mbps of stable throughput for HD, 25 Mbps or more for 4K, and 50 Mbps-plus for a household running several streams at once. Consistency matters more than headline speed everywhere — a steady 30 Mbps line outperforms a congested 200 Mbps connection during peak-time sport.
